The index is compiled based on the average price change for health items collected according to price collection centers in each state in Malaysia.

What caveats I should bear in mind when using this data?

This index is compiled based on Classification of Individual Consumption According to Purpose (COICOP) at 2 digit level (Main Group).


Dataset description

Malaysia's Consumer Price Index (CPI) is a monthly publication which presents statistics covering 12 main groups of goods and services. This is consistent with the classification according to the United Nations "Classification of Individual Consumption According to Purpose (COICOP)".
